Manufactured here, not ordered in
Most merchants send bespoke work away. We have the machinery on site, so the lead time is ours to control and the price does not carry someone else's margin.
Doors & Door Frames
Door frames and linings made to your opening, plus casings and stops. Bring the measurements and we will work the rest out with you at the counter.
Mouldings to Match
Skirting, architrave, dado and handrail run to your own profile. Bring a short offcut from the room you are matching and we will tell you honestly if we can copy it.
Radiator Covers & Casings
Made-to-measure radiator covers, boxing and casings, machined to the dimensions you supply and finished ready for painting.
Cut to size, free of charge
Any timber bought from our workshop is cut to your sizes at no extra cost. You leave with the pieces the job needs, not a length you have to wrestle into the car.
How a bespoke order works
Four steps, no surprises

Bring what you have
A drawing, a photograph, a rough sketch or a short offcut. Any of them is enough for us to tell you whether it is something we can make.

We check and advise
We will say honestly if a profile cannot be matched, or if a different timber would suit the job better. Better to hear it now than in a fortnight.
03
Price before we start
A clear price for materials and machining, based on our published timber rates. Nothing begins until you have agreed it.
04
Machined and ready
Run in our workshop and cut to length. Collect from Arundel Street or have it delivered with the rest of your order.
Common questions
Before you enquire
Can you copy a moulding from my house?

Usually. Bring a short offcut down to the yard — even 100mm is enough. We manufacture a large selection of mouldings in-house and can often run a match. If we cannot, we will tell you before you commit to anything.
Do I need technical drawings?

No. Measurements written on the back of an envelope are fine for most jobs. For windows and frames a sketch with the opening sizes is enough to get started.
Is there a minimum order?

No. We serve private customers and business clients alike, and we are just as happy machining a single length as a full order for a site.
What timber can you work in?

Softwood, hardwood including oak, and MDF. MDF gives the flattest painted finish, softwood suits period work and takes stain, and oak is the choice where the timber will be seen and left natural.
